Description
A Tepi pipe is a traditional ceremonial tool used to administer rapeh, a sacred shamanic snuff made from powdered Amazonian plants.
A Tepi is a wooden blowpipe shaped like a long tube.
It is used by another person (not self-administered) — one person blows the rapé through the pipe into the other person’s nostrils.
One end of the Tepi goes into the “server’s” mouth; the other end is placed gently into the recipient’s nostril.
Decorated with carvings and feathers.
